The week of February 10th I was unable to come in due to weather conditions and a personal errand. However, this week certainly made up for the lack of excitement! Monday the 17th, I was able to prepare buyer cards for the BCIA sale. Wednesday, I contributed to the assembly of about 150 (out of 500-700) sale catalogs for the Hinds/Mississippi BCIA spring bull sale the Extension office is sending out for the sale on March 6, 2014. And man did we run the copier, but they look great! Friday, I was able to help finish up the Artificial Insemination binders for the certification class on March 13th-15th. This is the event I am most looking forward to attending/helping with this semester! Working in the office all week made me realize how much preparation goes into these events. I have a greater amount of appreciation for our Extension Office and University employees — we’re so fortunate to have all of them. Next week I will attend the Oktibbeha County Extension Office meeting on the 27th regarding weed control and clover!
