My name is Chelsea Freeman and I am from Hernando, MS. I am a senior majoring in Animal and Dairy Science here at Mississippi State University. Growing up, my family had horses which sparked my passion for animals at an early age and eventually led me to pursue a degree in Animal and Dairy Science. My time here at State has been a priceless learning experience fueling my passion for the beef industry. Participating in the Collegiate CattleWomen Club and events such as artificial insemination school have propelled me further in to the world of agriculture. My future career goals include working in animal agriculture, ideally with beef cattle. For this reason, I am so excited to be an intern under Dr. Karisch and Dr. Parish learning more about beef cattle extension and the industry.
